Stephen R. Marlow
President and CEO
Steve
Marlow became a licensed private investigator in Arizona in 1977 following three
years of service in the U.S. Army’s 82nd Airborne Division.
Mr.
Marlow has conducted investigations for such diverse clients as the Arizona
Attorney General, the Arizona Department of Insurance, the Arizona Department of
Financial Institutions, and many of Arizona's largest law firms, corporations
and financial institutions. Between 1989 and 1994, he performed over five
hundred investigations for the Resolution Trust Corporation.
In the
mid-1980’s Mr. Marlow was a prime contractor for conducting security clearances,
under Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines, during the construction of the
Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
Throughout his career Mr. Marlow has specialized in conducting internal
investigations of theft, fraud and workplace drug issues, resulting in numerous
successful criminal prosecutions.

In 1993, under retainer to Allied Signal Corp., he was responsible for the
largest recovery of stolen property ever achieved by a private investigator in
Arizona.

That
investigation also resulted in the first restitution order ever awarded for
the costs of a private investigation in a criminal case in Arizona.

In
1995 an internal investigation conducted by Mr. Marlow for the publisher of
the Arizona Republic resulted in indictments against twelve employees
on a total of 44 felony counts, believed to be the most felony charges ever
filed in Arizona as the result of a private investigation.

Over
the past ten years Mr. Marlow has obtained a 100% conviction rate on over 50
felony cases prosecuted in Maricopa County alone.
Mr.
Marlow has been a featured speaker at many seminars and training sessions,
including the annual conference of the National Association of Credit Card Fraud
Investigators, the Arizona Association of Credit Professionals, the Phoenix
Chamber of Commerce and the Scottsdale Small Business Association.
He has
also conducted training on background, research, financial and asset
investigations for the legal and paralegal staffs of many of Arizona’s major law
firms and for the reporting staff of the Arizona Republic.
In
addition, Mr. Marlow:

has been a member of the American Society of Industrial Security since 1981;

is a
charter member of the National Association of Professional Background
Screeners;

has
served numerous times as an officer and director of the Arizona Association of
Licensed Private Investigators and was elected Chairman of the Board of
Directors in 1987;

in
1993 served on an advisory committee funded by the U.S. Department of Justice
that developed and published “Combating Workplace Drug Crimes - Guidelines for
Businesses, Law Enforcement and Prosecutors.”
